Why do some Realtor Web Sites flop and some flourish?
from:A realtor web site can bring in a lot of business if it is set up correctly. Many mistakes that realtors make when setting up a realtor web site is setting it up as a flashy website to try to grab people’s attention. The problem with this is that it will either look like a bad popup or a very unprofessional scam website.
When people are looking for real estate online, they want to find a website that is professional. When they stumble upon a realtor web site that is bright and flashy and doesn’t even have an address on it, they will almost immediately click away. The last thing they will do is submit any information to the website.
A realtor web site to a person that does not know the realtor is the first meeting. Just as any first meeting, the first impression needs to be good or the realtor will lose the client almost immediately.
There are many different web designers on the Internet that can create websites for realtors that look professional. The realtor should do some research and see what types of websites bring in a lot of business. This way, the website can be designed according to what they know works in the real estate market.
A realtor web site should also have some information on listings they currently have available. If the customer has to contact the realtor from the web site to get information, they may just click away and find another realtor web site. Having access to information immediately is what the Internet is all about. If they wanted to wait for information, they would have looked in the phone book and made phone calls.
Not all of the listing has to be on the web site. A few listings that are reasonably priced for the customer base will be just fine and draw in enough attention that the customer may actually contact the realtor from the web site.
Having a professional and well designed realtor web site is extremely important for a realtor. Hundreds of clients could be lost every week because the web site that is set up for the realtor or realty company is not professional enough or does not have the information the customers want.
The Internet continues to be a huge venue for bringing in customers and nothing will change that. It is important to take control of that type revenue that could be brought in immediately by having a clean realtor web site. With a professional looking web site, a realtor may double or even triple the amount of houses they sell.
