Many companies refuse to let customers without a business tax identification number purchase items through them at wholesale pricing. Once you've found a company declaring that they sell moving supplies wholesale, the first thing to do is to read through the company's FAQs (frequently asked question) or their ordering information pages. This is where they will tell you whether or not they need a business identification number in order to sell you wholesale merchandise. Some company's will accept a social security number in place of a tax identification number, but check first. Companies offering free shipping for retail prices might have a different shipping structure for moving supplies wholesale pricing.
